How to Make Lemonade Guide

Now the hot summer months are coming through a cold refreshing drink is pretty much essential. Lemonade is often overlooked, since it is so common, and yet I think lemonade is the perfect summer drink!

1) First off you need to make some sugar syrup.  You can buy this in shops, but it is so easy to make yourself! All you have to do is mix equal measurements of sugar and water in to a pan then boil.  Once it has boiled simply take it off the heat and stir until all the sugar has dissolved. The sugar syrup can be stored for up to two weeks if kept in the refridgerator covered, so make enough of this to keep you going!

2) Allow the sugar syrup to cool, this may take a while, but you can speed this up by putting it in the refridgerator.

3) For each serving take half a lemon and squeeze it in to a tall glass, add around 2 tbsp of the sugar syrup and stir vigourously.

4) Add 8 to 10 oz of cold water to the glass and continue to stir.

5)  Add ice to keep your refreshing lemonade cool an serve!

6) If you are feeling inventive you can add a whole range of ggarnishes to your lemonade, a sprig of mint, a slice of lemon or even a cherry on a stick!

How to Make Iced Coffee

On a hot day nothing is more refreshing than a cold drink, but plenty of us love that caffeine kick as well.  Iced coffee is the perfect solution, and in this easy guide we will show you how to make iced coffee!

First off there are two ways to make the drink in this how to make iced coffee guide, I will show you the quickest way first!

The Quick Way to Make Iced Coffee!

1) Brew a fresh pot of strong coffee, add sugar if desired.

2) Fill a large PLASTIC  glass or tumbler to about 2/3 full with ice.  The plastic glass is important here, glass will shatter!

3) Pour the coffee over the ice about 90% of the way and leave for about 5 minutes.  After the 5 minutes is over,  top up the plastic glass or tumbler to the top with ice!

The Proper, Long, Way to Make Iced Coffee

1)  Brew a fresh pot of strong coffee, add sugar if desired.

2) Leave the coffee to cool for around an hour then refrigerate for a further hour and a half.

3) Fill a glass with ice about 80% of the way, then fill with coffee and stir!
